Viñas del Cenit is located in Villanueva de Campeán, capital of the historic region of Tierra del Vino in the province of Zamora, on the left bank of the River Douro.
Its immense appeal lies in the ancient Tempranillo vines, distributed in compact units on small, in some cases even minute plots, producing wines with a unique character.
José Manuel cares for old vines planted using the traditional gobelet system. Even in the case of the youngest wines, their average age is around 35 years. And the number keeps on growing, with a small number of vines reaching a record age that is estimated to be between 150 and 180 years.
These vines are used to produce wines characterised by a sense of identity and commitment to the land.
